Our K-8 Plato Academy Clearwater students started off celebrating our last Friday in the 2017-2018 school year by leaving their own legacy at our school. Teachers and students have been inspired by the ONLY ONE YOU book by author Linda Kranz and created their own unique fish rock. K-8 students placed in our own “sea” their own creative unique rocks guided artistically by Mrs. Harvey S, while our 5th graders under the guidance of Ms. Lindsay, musically inspired all of us by singing “This is me” from the Greatest Showman
Our message to our future young leaders is that there’s only one you in this great big world. Make it a better place. The simple, yet powerful words that mommy and daddy fish share with Adri are meant to comfort and guide him as he goes about exploring the world. Our words of wisdom to our students are….
Test the waters – then dive in
Never stop learning
Understand that everyone you meet is just trying to fit in. Help them feel in at ease.
Enjoy every day, smile
Be sure to compliment one person every day
Develop an “I can do attitude”
Love from your heart,
Think positive and look for rainbows after a storm.
Find your own way. You don’t have to follow the crowd.
Take care of yourself
Do something nice for someone
If something doesn’t work out the first time, try again but never give up.
Choose friends that make energize you.
Dream Big and look for ways to excel.
Believe in YOU.
Make the best out of every situation.
And remember, that there is only one of you in this world. Make it a better world and leave a legacy.
