Friday, September 27th marked the end of the “Start with Hello” week. This is an initiative that promotes kindness among the school community and focuses on cultivating and developing students’ social skills. Each day of this week is planned for a different theme and this Friday the theme was “dress like a superhero”. Students and Staff enjoyed not only being creative with their outfits on that day but also having a very special guest visiting their classrooms.
Mrs. Megan Harding, who is member of the Pasco County School Board also started her career as a teacher and has a heart for education. She visited multiple classrooms and read them the book “Even Superheroes Have Bad Days” a story about handling emotions.
Our students had a great time and had the chance to discuss about ways to deal with emotions like anger or frustration in a way that is beneficial for themeselves and others around them. We are thankful for this visit and look forward to see Mrs. Harding on campus again soon.
