Plato Academy Trinity: the ninth Plato Academy Charter School is completed and students and staff are already enjoying their new classrooms. The Grand Opening ceremony took place on Sunday, November 4th, 2018.

Present were the Consul General Mr. Demetrios Sparos, Plato Academy Schools founder Mr. Terry Tsafatinos, Mr. Steve Christopoulos’ heirs Antiopi, Sammy and Georgia Christopoulos, Superior Schools CEO Ms. Jenny Tsantilas, Superior Schools Director of Operations Ms. Jennifer Nowak, Mrs. Dawn Parker Academic Director, Mr. Nik Chatzopoulos Director of Technology and Innovation, as well as the teachers of the new school, many parents, students and members of the community.

The Principal of the school, Ms Hayley Harris welcomed the families and made a special reference to the mission of Plato Academy Schools in assisting all students to achieve their full potential by requiring and nurturing high academic and behavioral standards in a safe, supporting, challenging and enthusiastic environment fostered by a commitment and cooperative effort between the school, students, parents, and community.

Mr. Dan Paasch represented Congressman Mr. Gus Bilirakis and offered to the heirs an American flag that was flown over the US Capitol per Mr. Bilirakis’ request in honor of the new school opening on November 4, 2018. In his letter Mr. Bilirakis expressed his appreciation for the commitment to the school’s mission and shared his support for the work that the organization is doing.

Superior Schools CEO Ms. Jenny Tsantilas paid tribute to the original founder of Plato Academy, acknowledged Mr. Steve Christopoulos and how happy he would be knowing his dream moved forward and thanked everyone involved in this collaborative effort in helping with the opening of the school.  She thanked the building department, civil engineer, general contractor, and many others.

Mr. Terry Tsafatinos, original founder of Plato Academy Schools was kindly asked to come forward and cut the ribbon with Mr. Christopoulos’ daughters, Ms. Tsantilas and the Consul General Mr. Sparos.

Educators are well aware of the importance of the learning culture in conjunction with the interaction with the physical surroundings and the new school with its spacious, modern facilities provides a great learning environment for its students to be a model of tomorrow’s leaders and a source of positive change in the community.
