Yesterday, young students at our Tarpon Springs campus had the chance to experience an exciting field of new technologies: Augmented Reality. The difference between augmented and virtual reality is that in the first case a 3d environment is generated based on a real life object. In this case, a drawing on a paper colored by the students. When completed, the page was scanned with a mobile device and 3d animated models based on the drawing are displayed on the screen.

The students also had the opportunity to use a virtual reality app and a headset to observe a three dimensional model of our solar system.
Older students programmed small robots to move on a predetermined pattern and used Amazon’s Alexa device, in a way that would help them in a classroom.
