August 24th – First Day of School

Monday, August 24th

Plato Academy Trinity will follow Pasco County Schools calendar with the new start date for students on Monday, August 24th.

This new start date will be effective for all students in both brick and mortar and distance learning options. Semester one Early Release Days (ERD) have been cancelled to make up the two-week delay.

In this video, Superintendent Browning talks about his recommendation for a two-week delay to the start of the school year.

Virtual Open House – August 19th

Due to the two-week delay, our Open House will be moved to Wednesday, August 19th.

Open House is a spectacular event that allows you to meet your teachers and get excited about the new school year. It is the event that starts our year off with all of the positive energy and is one of my favorite days of the year. Teachers will be sending digital welcome messages to students as we get closer to August 19th.

In order to keep our families safe, we are going to be hosting a VIRTUAL Open House this year. Teachers will record themselves and will tell you about themselves and the classroom. They will answer all questions that usually arise in an open house and will show you around the class, discuss expectations, and hopefully get the kiddos excited to return on the first day. There will also be a time scheduled for you to join the teachers on Google Meets and have some face-time to ask any questions that you have. The only exception to this will be Kindergarten, who will be invited to come for short visits, one at a time.

I know that this is different, but at this time our focus is going to be providing the best education in the safest environment, following all directives given to us by the state, county, and CDC. If you have concerns please feel free to reach out and I will do my best to provide you with any answers that I have.

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for more information and enjoy the remainder of your summer!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Harris
Principal

Student and Parent Surveys

Your thoughts are incredibly important to the school improvement process. Please take the time now to complete the survey. The parent survey takes only 10-15 minutes. Simply click on the link and you will be able to take it immediately.

Please complete only one survey per parent even if you have multiple students at Plato Academy Trinity. Thank you!

For grades 3rd-5th, we ask you to have your child complete this survey. You may assist but please allow them to use their own words as their input is very valuable.

Dear Plato Academy Trinity Families,

It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Hayley Harris, as the new principal of Plato Academy Trinity, our first Pasco County campus. I have had the privilege of working with Plato Academy since 2011. During that time I have worked as a third grade teacher and Assistant Principal. Whether in the classroom or in the office, I have always been provided the opportunity to work with fantastic staff, students, and parents.

Parents, teachers, support staff, and administration all play a vital role when it comes to encouraging and supporting our students to be active and engaged learners. As principal, it will be my goal to provide every student with the best instruction and support while keeping our mission on the forefront – “The mission of Plato Academy Charter Schools is to assist students in achieving their full potential by requiring and nurturing high academic and behavioral standards in a safe, supporting, challenging and enthusiastic environment fostered by a commitment and cooperative effort between the school, students, parents and community.”

I am very passionate about education and I look forward to partnering with all parents and guardians to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, and high-quality educational experience!

I am so thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to Plato Academy Trinity. I look forward to getting to know you and your children.

Go Giants!

Sincerely,
Hayley Harris
