Hello Plato Academy Trinity Families,

My name is Jill Keller, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Plato Academy Trinity. I am honored to have been chosen to lead such an outstanding community of students, teachers, and families. I have many years of experience in the field of education, and while I have new things to share, I look forward to continuing all the positive initiatives Mrs. Harris has established in her time as principal and maintaining the tradition of excellence.

I am a proud graduate of the University of Florida, having my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Elementary Education with a specialization in Middle Grades Science. I started my career in 1995, teaching middle school science on Florida’s east coast. I taught for eleven years before taking time off to raise my two children. During my leave of absence, my family relocated to Pinellas County—we currently live in Palm Harbor and love the Tampa Bay area for all the sports, shopping, arts and outdoor activities it has to offer.

While raising my young children, I stayed closely connected to education and the schools in the area by working part-time as an adjunct instructor at SPC. I joined the Plato Academy family in 2013, when I resumed my career as a middle school science teacher at Plato Academy Tarpon Springs. I became assistant principal at the Plato Academy Palm Harbor campus in 2018. In the last three years, I gained valuable educational leadership experience, and earned another master’s degree–all of which have prepared me for my new role as your principal.

At Plato Academy Trinity, the teachers, staff and I will work together to build strong relationships with parents, students and community partners and live the Plato mission. We will focus on the new Florida BEST Standards, use data to drive instruction, and provide an engaging academic curriculum so that we can continue to increase student achievement. I believe that students learn best in a safe, respectful environment where they feel comfortable to challenge their thinking and take risks in their learning.

It is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors–teachers, students and parents–is excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.

I am looking forward to making the 2021-22 school year the best year yet!

Sincerely,

Jill Keller
