CLEARWATER FL – The annual 3rd Grade Battle of the Books brought all Plato Academy schools together on February 13, 2026 for a morning of cheers and friendly competition at the Clearwater campus. Students showcased teamwork, quick thinking, and an impressive command of this year’s book selections.
The morning round set the tone with a strong showing from every team. St. Pete earned 1st place, followed by Pinellas Park as 1st runner‑up, Clearwater as 2nd runner‑up, and Tampa as 3rd runner‑up.
In the afternoon, the momentum continued as teams returned ready for another spirited contest. Palm Harbor captured 1st place, with Tarpon Springs earning 1st runner‑up, Seminole taking 2nd runner‑up, and Clearwater finishing as 3rd runner‑up.
Across both sessions, students demonstrated not only their reading skills but also sportsmanship and pride in representing their schools. It was a wonderful celebration of literacy and learning.
