Each club provides a unique opportunity for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and have fun with friends.

Plato Clearwater Clubs (March 24 - May 16)

Lego Club (Grades 1-4)

  • Fee: $80
  • Day/Time: Tuesday, 3:30 – 4:30 PM
  • Host: Mrs. Dillon
  • Description: Build, create, and explore with Legos! Whether you’re a master builder or a beginner, this club is all about fun challenges and teamwork.

Craft Club (Grades 1-5)

  • Fee: $120
  • Day/Time: Tuesday, 3:30 – 4:30 PM
  • Host: Ms. Galczyk
  • Description: Get creative each week with fun, hands-on craft projects that you can take home and share!

Caribbean Dance Club (Grades 1-5)

  • Fee: $100
  • Day/Time: Thursday, 4:00 – 5:00 PM
  • Host: Ms. Cardoza
  • Description: Have fun and stay active while learning Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Cumbia!

Strum & Song Club (Grades 5-8)

  • Fee: $120
  • Day/Time: Wednesday, 3:30 – 4:30 PM
  • Host: Ms. Aguilar
  • Description: Learn to play the guitar or ukulele, explore songwriting, and perform for friends and family at the end of the session! (Students must bring their own instrument.)

Arts & Crafts Club (Grades K-3)

  • Description: A creative space for kids to express themselves through art and crafts!

Lego Club 2 (Grades K-3)

  • Fee: $120

  • Description: Build, problem-solve, and collaborate while tackling fun engineering design challenges with Legos.

Accelerated Math F.A.S.T. Boot Camp (Grade 4)

  • Fee: $160
  • Day/Time: Tuesday, 3:30 – 4:30 PM (March 25 – April 29)
  • Host: Mrs. Sawyer
  • Description: Prepare for the Math F.A.S.T. assessment by reviewing test-style questions and advanced 4th and 5th-grade math concepts.

Math F.A.S.T. Boot Camp – Traditional (Grade 4)

  • Fee: $160
  • Day/Time: Thursday, 3:30 – 4:30 PM (March 27 – May 1)
  • Host: Ms. Sawyer
  • Description: A session for traditional 4th-grade students to review core math skills and practice test-style questions.

Cooking Club (Grades 1-3)

  • Fee: $200

Description: Learn to prepare simple, healthy, and delicious recipes each week in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Math Counts

  • Grades: 6th-8th
  • Fee: $0

  • Description: MathCounts is a national organization of mathletes that has competitions each spring and teaches students to be more creative in finding solutions to unique situations using their math skills.

Dance Fitness Group

  • Grades: 2nd-8th
  • Fee: $120
  • Day/time: Tues/Thurs 3:30-4:30
  • Host: Ms. Steiner
  • Description: Students will learn the importance of fitness and body movement. They will learn a variety of dance routines and cultural dances. This club is a dance-based exercise program that combines Latin dance moves with upbeat music. It’s a full-body workout that can help improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility. This dance club can provide socialization and additional mental health benefits. This dance program is designed to improve coordination, boost mood, learn how to dance and establish a community.

4th grade accelerated math

  • Grade: 4th
  • Fee: $100
  • Day/time: Thursday 3:30-4:30
  • Host: Ms. Zaradich
  • Description: The 4th Grade Accelerated Math Club is designed for students looking to strengthen their math skills and prepare for the FAST PM 3 assessment in a fun and engaging way. Through interactive problem-solving, targeted skill practice, and challenging math problems, students will deepen their understanding of key concepts such as fractions, decimals, multi-step word problems, and algebraic thinking. The club will also incorporate test-taking strategies to build confidence and accuracy.

Lego Club

Description: Calling all Lego lovers! Whether you’re a master builder or just starting out, you’ll have the opportunity to create designs of your own as well as thematic builds. Plus, it’s a great way to make new friends and show off your creativity. So, grab your imagination and come build with us!

Chess Club

  • Grades: K-8th
  • Fee: $100
  • Day/time: Friday 3:30-5:00
  • Host: Mrs. Bennett
  • Description: Chess is used to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making. While the students will have the chance to track their progress and to compete in chess matches, our main focus will be to encourage learning, sportsmanship, and fun.

Dance Club

  • Grades: 2nd-4th
  • Fee: $40
  • Day/time: Tuesday 3:15-4:15
  • Host: Mrs. Hodge
  • Description: Dance Club allows its members to experience the wonder of dance and joy of performing. Students are exposed to different styles of dance, learning to see dance as an art and way of expression.

Line Dancing Club

  • Grades: K-8th
  • Fee: $100
  • Day/time: Friday 3:30-5:30
  • Host: SSO Miller
  • Description: This club is a Traditional Line Dancing style of club that will focus on teaching students the rhythmic steps and dances to classic Country line dance songs with a mix of Pop, Hip-hop, Party Classics and School-Aged songs. A few songs to include: Boot Scoot Boogie, Cotton Eye Joe, Electric Slide, Casper Slide, Cha Cha Slide, September, and many more. There will be 2 songs taught on the first day and each week following would include a recap of the prior songs and an additional song added each Friday.

Adventures, Wizards, and Monsters

  • Grades: 3rd-8th
  • Fee: $80
  • Day/time: Monday 3:30-5:30
  • Host: SSO Miller

Description: This club is a club for those seeking adventure in the fantasy worlds of Monsters, Magic, and Imagination. The club will be a blended club that focuses on games relating to those packed with magic and strategy. Games that will include Magic: the gathering trading card game (Standard, Explorer, & Commander), Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game (Standard & Sacrificial), Pokemon trading card game (Standard), Dungeons & Dragons, and more. During this club the students will learn the fundamentals of the games, deck building (Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon only), character creation and basics (D&D), and have a chance to trade cards and collaborate with others on adventures. Imagination is the only limitation to this club.

Middle School Book Club

  • Description: Hello Wonderful Plato Parents. Does your child love to read? We will be getting together once a week for a book club. We will vote on a chapter book or two to read and discuss together. We will also learn new journaling techniques to support our reading journey. I can’t wait to see all my middle school friends.

Plato St. Petersburg Clubs (March 24 - May 16)

Beginning Piano Club

  • Grades: 3rd-5th
  • Fee: $80
  • Day/time: Tuesday 3:30-4:30
  • Host: Ms. Adams
  • Description: Join Beginning Piano Club and begin to read and create music in our new piano lab! We have 10 piano keyboards, so the class is limited to a maximum of 10 students (3rd, 4th and 5th Grade).

Beginner’s Guitar

  • Grades: 6th-8th
  • Fee: $80
  • Day/time: Thursday 3:30-4:30

  • Description: Beginning Guitar Club is for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. If you have your own acoustic guitar in good condition that you can bring to school for guitar club, please do and let me know. We have 7 guitars available for those who do not have a guitar to use during club time only. If you already know basic chords and strumming, this club is NOT for you! Beginners only!

Beginner’s Needlepoint

Ellinomatheia

  • Description: Our Ellinomatheia Club is a specialized exam preparation program designed to help students succeed. We offer intensive training tailored to individual needs, ensuring comprehensive support for every learner. With expert guidance, structured lessons, and continuous practice, we prepare students for excellence—building confidence and fluency in Greek. Plus, earning your Ellinomatheia certification may open doors to college credit recognition!

EOC Tutoring

Run/Walk Fun Club

  • Grades: K-8th

  • Description: The Run/Walk Fun Club is for anyone who wants to exercise and have fun while doing it. Competitive? This is the club for you! See how many laps you can get each Monday. Not Competitive? lol This is the club for you too! Track your laps with your friends as you walk and talk. Regardless, the point is to come out and have fun with friends. Earn tokens and recognition for hitting special milestones this quarter! Can you be the first to get to 5 miles? 10 miles? 50 miles? 75 miles? The sky is the limit! Parents are welcome to volunteer (must be Plato Certified) and we will be setting up an online format so you can track your child’s distance with them!

Board Game Club

Description: Board games offer students the opportunity to apply skills of following directions, taking turns, and overcoming challenges.
