We are an independently run non-profit charter school system focused on classical education that has no association with a charter school management company. We are focused on rigorous educational school choice for parents and students.
As we approach the winter break, we are thinking about the remarkable year we’ve shared together.
This semester brought challenges we navigated together, from adjusting schedules to supporting students through academic programs. Our school community’s patience, flexibility, and commitment to our children made all the difference. Parents stepped up as volunteers, attended conferences, and reinforced learning at home. Teachers innovated in their classrooms and went above and beyond in order to help students succeed. Support staff kept everything running smoothly, often behind the scenes. Students showed resilience, curiosity, and growth that exceeded our expectations.
The holiday season offers us something we all need: time. Time to rest, to reconnect with family and friends, to enjoy simple pleasures without the pressure of alarm clocks and deadlines. I hope you’ll use these weeks to recharge, whatever that looks like for your household. Sleep in, travel if you can, read that book you’ve been meaning to get to, or simply enjoy unhurried mornings at home.
Looking ahead to January, we return on Monday, January 5, 2026 with several exciting initiatives launching in the new semester.
Thank you for the trust you place in us every day. Thank you for the conversations at pickup, the emails with questions and ideas, the attendance at school events, and the reinforcement of our values at home. Education happens in partnership, and we’re fortunate to work alongside families who care deeply about creating the best possible experience for every student.
However you spend the coming weeks, we hope they bring you rest, joy, and connection with the people who matter most. We’ll see you in the new year, refreshed and ready for another semester of growth and achievement together.
With warm wishes for a wonderful holiday season,
Plato Academy Schools
Executive Leadership Team
“Do not train a child to learn by force or harshness; but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each.”
— Plato
Greek Philosopher

Plato Academy Schools began in Florida in 2004 with a vision to provide students with an education rooted in Greek culture, heritage, and language. Starting as a single school, it has grown into a network of eight K-8 charter schools across three counties, along with a high school in Tampa. Guided by the Socratic method, Plato Academy emphasizes critical thinking, character development, and experiential learning.
The schools blend tradition and innovation, offering advanced academics such as accelerated math programs and high school credit opportunities for middle school students. They also focus on developing the whole child through art, music, sports, and community engagement. With strong support from the Plato Education Foundation, the commitment to Greek culture is evident in language classes and cultural activities.
Plato Academy fosters a family-oriented atmosphere where parents are actively involved through volunteer hours, creating a secure and supportive learning environment. By combining rigorous academics with cultural enrichment and character education, Plato Academy Schools continue to shape well-rounded individuals ready to succeed in life while preserving the legacy of Greek educational ideals.
We’re proud to announce another outstanding year of achievement across the Plato Academy network.

Starting in 3rd grade, our accelerated math program challenges students to excel, preparing them for advanced coursework in middle and high school and building a strong foundation for future success in STEM fields. Our schools are staffed by caring and professional certified educators who uphold high academic and behavior standards, creating a nurturing environment for all students. In addition to core subjects, students benefit from a diverse array of programs, including gifted education, music, art, and Greek as a second language. Ensuring a safe and secure environment, Plato Academy Schools also promote physical activity and teamwork, with sports programs starting as early as 5th grade.
Proud moment for Plato Academy Schools! Our students participated in the October 28th Ohi Day celebration, broadcast internationally through Antenna Satellite networks.
