As the academic year draws to a close, the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) chapter at Plato Academy Clearwater reflects on a year marked by academic excellence, service, and leadership. The final NJHS meeting of the year offered a moment to celebrate achievements, recognize new leaders, and set the stage for continued growth in 2025–2026.

For students and families who were unable to attend the concluding meeting, the NJHS leadership encourages participation in the End-of-Year Survey, available on Google Classroom. The feedback provided will play a crucial role in shaping the vision and goals of the incoming board and advisor team as they prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the coming school year.
Announcing the 2025–2026 NJHS Board
This year’s board elections saw robust participation, with 19 students vying for leadership roles. The competitive process underscored the chapter’s commitment to fostering student voice and responsibility. The newly elected NJHS Board Members for 2025–2026 are:

Welcoming New Leadership: Mr. Martz and Ms. Donze
NJHS is pleased to introduce Mr. Martz as the new chapter advisor. Currently teaching 7th and 8th Grade History, Mr. Martz brings a strong commitment to student leadership and a fresh perspective to the organization. Ms. Donze will continue in her role as co-advisor, offering her extensive experience and support to ensure a smooth transition and continued success.
Highlights from a Year of Service and Scholarship
The 2024–2025 school year stands out as one of the most impactful in the chapter’s history. Among the notable accomplishments:
NJHS members earned 78 placements on the Principal’s List across the first three quarters.
Students were recognized on the Honor Roll 32 times during the same period.
The chapter welcomed 33 new inductees, marking the largest class since its founding in 2015.
Members completed approximately 318.55 hours of community service.
