The inception of this partnership has been marked by extensive deliberations between the leadership team of Plato Academy Schools and Directors and Professors of USF. We are thrilled to announce that, owing to the exceptional standards maintained by our schools, USF has expressed a deep interest in establishing an affiliation with us. A pivotal juncture in this partnership was the visitation to Plato Academy Tampa, during which USF representatives witnessed outstanding accomplishments and unwavering commitment to excellence exhibited by our educators and staff. Kudos to Mrs. Jenkins and her Tampa team!
The feedback from the visit highlighted the rigorous academic environment, the palpable sense of familial unity, and the evident joy in the pursuit of knowledge that permeates our school community. The exemplary instructional practices, the meaningful engagement between teachers and students, and the evident enthusiasm for learning were particularly commended by the USF delegation. These aspects, which we take immense pride in, have led to USF’s decision to send their students for internships at our schools, commencing in the Fall of 2024.
USF’s interest extends beyond internships to the prospect of sending upcoming teachers to serve as substitute educators within our schools. This will undoubtedly enrich our academic environment with highly qualified people to step in your place when you need to be out.
Furthermore, our collaboration with USF extends to the domain of professional development, acknowledging the need for a diverse range of learning opportunities beyond those traditionally provided by districts and internal resources. In addition to the complimentary PD opportunities offered by USF to all our staff, we are actively engaged in collaboration to facilitate summer PD sessions and other professional learning opportunities.
