Calling all Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Friends, and Neighbors

Plato Academy Pinellas Park will be hosting the Great American Teach-In on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 8:40 A.M. to 2:45 P.M.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to share their passion with our students. Whether you have a special talent, an interesting career, or a unique hobby, we would love to hear from you.
Visit our campus and stay for an hour or spend the entire day. Our students are eager to learn about what you do. You can teach them how to bake, explain how to sell a house, or describe what it is like to work in the medical field. These experiences help them discover the many possibilities life has to offer.

All participants are volunteers. Your time will be logged and credited to your family.

About Great American Teach-In:

The Great American Teach-In is a special event that invites members of the community to step into the classroom and share their knowledge, experiences, and passions with students. Hosted annually, this day celebrates the value of real-world learning by connecting students with professionals, hobbyists, and volunteers from all walks of life.
Participants are encouraged to present on a wide range of topics—from careers and trades to talents and personal interests. Whether it’s baking, engineering, real estate, healthcare, or storytelling, every contribution helps spark curiosity and broaden students’ understanding of the world around them.
This event is a unique opportunity for students to learn directly from the people who shape their community, and for guests to make a lasting impact by inspiring the next generation. All time spent volunteering is logged and credited to participating families.
