In a significant step toward advancing the preservation of Hellenic heritage, the leadership team of Plato Academy Schools held a meeting with the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, Maira Myrogianni, and Eftihia Xydia, Secretary of Economic and Commercial Affairs.
The delegation included Senator Leonidas P. Raptakis, Mr. Louis Kokinakos, Chair of the Board of Plato Academy Schools; Amy Hayes, Chief of Schools; Danielle Cicetti, Chief of Academics; Dawn Parker, Chief of Staff Development; and Konstantinos Aretis, Director of the Greek Program and Lead Teacher.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss strategies for sustaining and reinforcing the teaching of Greek language and culture abroad. Central to the discussions were the shared goals of preserving Greek heritage, fostering global appreciation for Hellenism, and ensuring the younger generation remains connected to cultural roots through education.
